17 Countries Gather at the 10th Annual International Conference on Financial Crime and Terrorism Financing (IFCTF 2018)

The 10th International Conference on Financial Crime and Terrorism Financing (IFCTF 2018) themed The Rising Voice of Compliance – Towards Greater Governance and Transparency, was officiated by Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus, Governor of Bank Negara Malaysia, on 30 October 2018, at the Shangri-la Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This two-day conference was jointly organised by the Asian Institute of Finance (AIF) and the Compliance Officers’ Networking Group (CONG), and fully supported by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Securities Commission Malaysia.

Attended by over 1,000 participants from the corporate and financial sectors of 17 countries, the Conference explored topics on current events and new trends in these areas and practicable approaches within the realm of compliance. Over 50 speakers from Australia, Brunei, Cambodia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Philippines, Iraq, South Africa and Zambia, shared their expertise on the various topics.
