AIF participates at ‘Combating Financial Fraud Conference’, 10 September 2014

Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) recently organised the ‘Combating Financial Fraud Conference’ in Labuan on 10 September 2014, addressing all aspects of fraud and risk landscape as well as strategies and practical measures to combat financial fraud.  As a Platinum Sponsor, Asian Institute of Finance (AIF) supported this event which brought together more than 100 senior officials from banks, insurance and trust companies within East Malaysia.

Dr Mazuki Jusoh, AIF’s Director of Professional Standards Development, was invited to speak on the importance of building an ethical environment and the need to have enhanced professionalism in the industry.

In addition, Dr Mazuki was involved in a panel discussion on “In-depth Implementation of Risk Management Policies with AML/CFT Focus”. He touched on the role of professionalism and ethics in handling fraud and overcoming anti-money laundering as well as emphasised the importance in understanding the talent pool at the workplace.
